Norwich Castle Museum has acquired (with the help of the Art Fund) five of the costumes which Jill designed, made and dyed while making many appearances at the Albion Fairs in East Anglia during the mid-’70s to early ’80s. These particular costumes were made for Bruce Lacey with whom she worked in partnership creating and performing ritual ceremonies at the fairs. Jill made matching ones for herself at the same time. Costume-making was an art form for her. At the time she considered it a form of sculpture.
